At camp, our main mission is to disciple the next generation of young women, empowering them to live boldly in their faith. Through original Bible studies created specifically for Choose Kind campers, we will dive deep into God's Word, exploring our calling to be the LIGHT in the world.

Camp 2025 will focus on shining a light on God the Father, Jesus our Savior, and the Holy Spirit, our friend and guide. With verses from both the Old and New Testaments, we’ll discover how we can be a reflection of God’s love and grace in every aspect of our lives. Join Melissa Lynn Hunt, founder of Genuine Ministries, for an inspiring devotion and a time of fellowship designed specifically for camp moms. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other mothers and learn more about what your daughter is experiencing at camp. Take a break, be encouraged, and experience a time of refreshing just for you!

The Holy Spirit is welcome here, and His presence will guide us throughout our time together.

Every morning and afternoon, campers will come together for live worship led by our talented team of singers and musicians, creating a powerful atmosphere of praise. We will unite as one body, lifting our voices in bold faith through prayer, inviting God to move mightily in our hearts. This time of worship and prayer will be a foundation for deep spiritual growth and connection with God.

Here at Genuine we aim to disciple our next generation of young women - to expand God’s kingdom and glorify Him through all we do.

3 years ago,
we launched our first one day camp with just 12 campers.
By the Lord’s hand our second camp in 2022 expanded into two days with 36 campers with a special session just for moms of campers.

Now we are a week long
day camp still with the same mission to provide a safe, fun, and judgment-free space for our youth.

A space to equip them with how to be kind to themselves and others as they step into who God created them to be.

A camp leader's main responsibility is to invest in and build relationships with the small group of students to which they are assigned. they will do this through meals together, breakout sessions, camp adventure activities, and discipleship.

We answer the calling to find the best and safest staff. All applicants must complete an extensive application, undergo a face-to-face interview, and submit two references.

At Genuine, we know what an honor it is for you to trust us with your kids for a week and so we take safety and security very seriously. It is important to us that we provide spaces where your daughter is safe and protected while exploring, making friends, having fun and learning more about God.

We are committed to the safety of all campers. Our comprehensive safety plan covers weather safety, medical care, staff screening, and activity safety. Our goal is for every parent to feel confident with their child spending a fun and safe week at camp.

WE BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS GOD’S BELOVED SON

Being in very nature God, He was present and active in creation. He lived on this earth, taught men to know the path to salvation, and was crucified for our sin in order to reconcile us with God. He was raised from the grave on the third day and ascended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of God, where He now intercedes with the Father on our behalf. In Water — Baptisms are an outward expression of someone’s inward decision to commit their heart to Christ. Being submerged in water is a public way to celebrate the spiritual change that happened when you were born again. It's a symbol of having died and been buried, then coming up out of the grave free of our old dead selves. Water baptism does not save you — it's a celebration of being saved.

In the Holy Spirit — Being baptized in the Holy Spirit is a free gift from Jesus Christ to anyone who is both saved and willing to receive it. This baptism shows up as spiritual gifts differently for each person; wisdom, knowledge, faith, the power to heal, to perform miracles, to prophecy, to speak in languages (also known as "tongues.”), to interpret the languages, to tell spirits apart. Since the Holy Spirit is our helper, being baptized in Him empowers us to a life of discipleship.

Melissa Lynn Hunt
Founder & Director of Content

Melissa is the founder of Choose Kind Camp. She has educated and mentored students through years in public education and her work as the Genuine Ministry Founder and High School Leader. Melissa is passionate about expository teaching and leading by example. She has spent 20 plus years working with our youth equipping them to live in the fullness of who God created them to be. Melissa has recently extended her missions through Genuine magazine, podcast, and a Genuine Women's group.

Melissa is best known for her love of life and desire for a Genuine community.

Kaitlyn Stancil
Camp Director

Kaitlyn is a Certified Health & Life Coach with a passion for mental health. She has coached and volunteered for several years and thrives on being a light for others. Aside from coaching, she finds joy in spending quiet time with God and creating new recipes in the kitchen. Kaitlyn is the Genuine Sisters Team Leader where she teaches and mentors middle school girls. After having a daughter of her own, she feels it is her mission to bind all of her skills together to teach our girls the importance of community, confidence, and kindness.
Kaitlyn is best known for her love of healthy eating and spontaneous dancing.
