Meet Melissa Lynn Hunt
I’m 45 years old, a mom of two boys, and have now been married to Jason for 18 years. The beach is my happy place, but I equally love curling up on the couch to watch a movie or play games with my family. I absolutely cherish in-person connection, and I’m always looking forward to diving deep into God’s Word and gaining new sisters in Christ through Genuine.
Genuine Ministry remains one of my greatest passions, and I continue to be in awe of how God uses it to draw His children closer to Him.
Over the past year, my faith has grown bolder and more steadfast than ever before. I am committed to standing on biblical truth—even when it’s uncomfortable, costly, or misunderstood. I serve one God, and when I meet Him face to face, my deepest desire is to say that I did the absolute best I could with everything He entrusted to me—my marriage, my motherhood, this ministry, and every opportunity to love and lead His people well.
My heart is to see women come to know and love Jesus and to live fully in who they were created by God to be. I long to see restoration in marriages, healing in friendships, and renewed purpose in motherhood. I want to walk alongside women as they find freedom from sin and strongholds and step into the abundant life Christ offers. Nothing brings me more joy than watching women live fully, boldly, and beautifully in their identity in Him.
Meet Amanda Wortman
I am 42 years old, a wife, a mom of five, and I truly love doing life with my family. My husband and I live in Cabarrus County, and between work, school, and family life, things stay pretty busy. I’m happiest near the water—especially the ocean—where I can slow down, reflect, and just breathe for a bit.
Over the past few years, my faith has grown deeper as I’ve spent more time in God’s Word and learned what it really means to abide in Him.
One thing that’s on my heart is that every person I meet would know that, no matter their circumstances, they are seen and that Christ is there for them.
I’m so thankful for Genuine and the opportunity to grow in faith alongside all of you. I’m looking forward to building meaningful friendships and encouraging one another as we walk through life and faith side by side.
